Pamela Troutman's "STAR*ART" Jewelry.
I have a contract with the Civilian Welfare Store at NGA Campus East and sell beaded lanyards, globe earrings, and lapel pin eyeglass/ID holders.
I have been making jewelry since 2000. I am a DoD employee and started making lanyards because I was bored with the pop chains given out at work for ID badges. I sell at juried craft shows, but mostly people see what I am wearing and ask me to make something for them. I enjoy stringing, and try to keep my pieces affordable but interesting.
Some of my necklaces have been on exhibit at the Bead Museum (Washington, DC) and The Workhouse Arts Center (Lorton, VA). I have placed in the top third at Woodlawn Needlework Exhibit (Alexandria, VA), and at Beadazzled (Tyson's Corner, VA). I am an active member of the Northern Virginia Bead Society.
My web site is www.starart.etsy.com . I will be branching out into more complicated necklaces when I retire and have the time to devote to my art.
